i can't believe many people didn't like this song. This song defines this genre. Whoever didn't like this song doesn't like genuine dappankoothu! (no offense...) To me, the lyrics sounds fun, not non-sensical.. I guess it's just me. And i'm a malayali too. ;)

Ithu thaan dappankuthu machaan! Adi dhool! Arya knows what song to select and she is versatile enough to present any type of songs. This song may not impress the purists but all I care is I got exactly what I looked for in this round :-) Chennai local train yathrayil oru "gaana" pattu ketta mathiri. I literally stuck my tongue out, rolled my eyes and (almost) danced, the authentic way!

that's exactly what a dappankoothu is. no sense verses, whatever comes in the mouth can be told, more important is the beat, so put words that fit into the beat. every common man can be a lyricist for these type of songs.

Lyrics were un-understandable. Can we call it nonsense verse. Reminds me of the children's poem/limerick, "head, shoulder, knees and toes; eyes and ears and mouth and nose." And so on and so forth.

absolutely, the constestants should be little more careful about the song selection for a singing competition..there is nothing to judge the singing capability in this song!
